Failed diets

Holidays are filled with delicious foods and colorful drinks. From traditional dishes to modern cuisines, from cakes and pastries to nuts, snacks, and chocolates. It seems that after a few days of holidays, we slowly realize that all our efforts have gone in vain, and our dietary plans are all messed up! Fortunately, we have a few solutions for this problem…

When we feel hungry before the start of a party or celebration, it can be challenging to stick to healthy eating and limited meals amid all the diverse and tempting foods! We can have a light but satisfying meal before going to the event. By the time we arrive, we’ll feel fully satiated, and even the various tempting dishes may not deviate us from our planned strategy.

Creating a colorful plate is another way to deal with this issue. When we fill our plate with a variety of different food items at the party, the body benefits from various food categories, and our meal plans stay on track. Especially, prioritizing fruits and vegetables during gatherings can be beneficial.

We savor our food or drink with patience and mindfulness. Taking each bite of food or sip of a beverage becomes enjoyable when we can taste all the flavors and reflect on them. Setting the cup down after each sip can greatly aid in this method. On one hand, when we are hosting an event, we can use less sweetened drinks, or prepare the party beverages ourselves.

Let’s not ignore the foods! It’s true that the goal is to stick to our plans, but if we don’t say no to a variety of tempting and appetizing dishes at a well-organized event, it can be quite challenging and later lead us to compensate elsewhere. Trying a few delicious foods doesn’t mean we lack willpower, so let’s enjoy the delightful party foods!

Holidays are a time to come together and enjoy the company of others. Talking with family and friends, engaging in conversations, laughter, and keeping each other updated on life are integral parts that come with the holidays. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity and shift our focus from food to the pleasure of socializing with others.

Enjoy your holidays and spend joyful days with family and friends. We wish you all the best!
