A celebration for newlyweds:
Golo Goje Aroos!
Our ancestors had many different celebrations on different days of the year: Celebration of seasons and months, harvest and planting of fields and many other celebrations; Beautiful traditions that narrate our history and past. Among these beautiful traditions, there is a beautiful celebration called “Golo Goje Aroos”!
This ceremony is mostly done at the beginning of summer, when the trees start to bear fruit and the fruits start to ripen.

The people of the village gather together, coordinate a day together, and they all fill a large tray of fresh fruits with vegetables, lettuce, flour, and oil and take it to the new bride’s house. They give them big trays full of blessings and wish them happiness.

By doing this, people wish the same thing that happens to nature in the summer for a new life and a new family, so that like fresh fruits and blessed crops; the new family can have a fruitful and blessed life.

Some people say that this ceremony was held in the past on June 19, and some believe that Golo Goje Aroos was held on June 21. In some areas, in the local dialect, this ceremony is known as “Aval Tostoni” which means the beginning of the summer. In some regions, it is called “bride tomato” or “bride flower”.
Anyway, the beauty of this tradition is to make good wishes for others. And we have the best wishes for you at the beginning of the new season: blessings, health and fruitfulness!
